About Us

We offer both equitherapy and assisted riding. All inquiries begin with an assessment of the student's needs, as well as, physical and cognitive abilities. The sessions are in small groups, as we strive to create a fun, relaxed group-dynamic with students of similar needs and learning abilities.

C.A.R.E. offers weekly and bi-monthly lesson programs.  While the benefits of equitherapy can be seen in as little as one session per week. Studies show benefits can only be achieved through a routine and conscious effort in a regular, ongoing commitment.

Sessions are scheduled:
Mondays from 2pm - 4:15pm
Wednesdays from 3pm - 5:45pm
Saturdays from 8:45am - 12:15pm

Most students begin with grooming, tacking and leading the horse. As confidence and ability progresses, basic riding skills are taught, including beginning dressage skills and patterns. Some students are less mobile and will enjoy riding the horse in our covered arena led by volunteers. Volunteers will also 'sidewalk' with the student, helping with balance. Most riders begin with help from volunteers until they gain the confidence they need to ride alone.
